"Margin Of Error" (marginoferror)

The Thanksgiving is over, hope you all spent quality time with your loved ones, hope you've been thankful for a lot of good things, but now it's time to get back to business and address the real issues. What is the worst car on the market today ?
I'll jump first : The dreadful F30 BMW 328i xDrive.
The 328i xDrive is the worst 3 series ever made. Like the people that are leasing them, this version of the F30 is flavorless and annoying.
It doesn't have a manual transmission, it doesn't have rear wheel drive, it doesn't have a proper hydraulic steering and most of them are upholstered with faux-leather! But the leasers don't care, in their minds, 328 is better than 320, and xDrive is an extra badge, and 2 exhaust tips are better than one.
The 328i xDrive is the 3 series for pretentious and inept drivers that can't shift by themselves or handle over-steer. The BMW 328i xDrive is just as easy to drive as it is easy to lease. I'm not thankful for that car.

NEWSFLASH: THE NISSAN GT-R IS FOR PRETENTIOUS AND INEPT DRIVERS THAT CAN'T SHIFT BY THEMSELVES OR HANDLE OVER-STEER. ALSO, SEE LAMBORGHINI SINCE 2001 AND EVERY SINGLE AUDI S-SOMETHING.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Once the F30s come down to the $20k-ish mark, people'll start saying how great they are. Happened with the e30, e36, e46, and currently the e92. But when they're new (and expensive), they're just soulless cars for soulless people with too much technology.
Funny how that works, eh?

To indulge my hateful side for a moment: every BMW MINI, the Peugeot 206, and almost every Peugeot built between it and the RCZ-R.

What I just read is, "It's the worst 3-series ever because it's not how I would option mine."

I only said the 328i xDrive F30 was bad, not the RWD 320i with the manual.

The Mitsubishi Mirage.
Look, I'm all for cheap, utilitarian cars. Looking at and driving a Mirage is like stepping into the 1990s. That's all cool and nostalgic.
However, it has a price of a much better car. For just a tad more coin, you can get a plethora of cars that are superior in every way but EPA fuel economy numbers.
It should really have a base price well under $10k...Like those late 90's, early 00's KIAs...

Also, there are options on a 328xi lease that you can't get on a 320i lease. Plus the does have 60HP extra over the 320i, so there's probably that too.

Peugeot 205. Everyone says how great they were. Drove one twice. Felt like a death trap on wheels.

60HP more but only with the slushbox and xDrive added weight.

Pros:
It's lightweight and easy to park.
Cons:
Starts at $13k for cvt or manual.
74 hp.
Can't take advantage of the lightweight in too fun of a manner bc it's made for MPG and not fun.
You are highly likely to die or be severely injured in an accident.
With that said. If I were really wealthy I'd buy one, gut it, put in a roll cage and good seat and turn it into the best worst track car. Maybe even set up a spec mirage racing series.

320i curb weight: 3,295lb
328i w/ Xdrive: 3,406lb
That's only 111lb heavier with Xdrive and an automatic transmission. I'll take the 60hp over a 111lb weight penalty. Curb weight from NADA Guides.

Eh. I'm not too keen on the automatic, but everyone says it's the best they've put in a car thusfar so again, 60hp would be worth it to me.

I mean, If I had $60k to spend on a compact car I would pick the 335i M Sport with a manual.

what exactly is your experience with this car? Did you buy one? Because having actually shopped for the 3, C, A4, and ATS, I can tell you that you are dead wrong about every aspect of this post. But sure, rant away.

Auto's aren't really that terrible. Yes, maybe on your 1996 Honda Civic or your 2001 Ford Windstar, but on upmarket cars like BMW's they've always been smooth and shift at the right moment. They're hardly "slush boxes". Also, paddle-shifters.
